Minutes E&CC02/2021 of the Environmental & Community Committee Meeting held on Thursday 18th November 2021 at 18:30.     

 

Present:        Councillors D Holmes, I Holmes, Parker and Westerman.      

Apologies:    None received

Officer:          K Steels-Tallett (Parish Clerk) 

No members of the public were present.  

 

1. To elect a Chairman for the Environmental & Community Committee.  It was resolved Councillor Parker be the Chairman of the Committee.  Proposed by Councillor I Homes, seconded by Councillor Westerman and all were in favour.

2. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 S85(1).   No apologies had been received.

3. Members Declarations of Interests:

a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.   There were no declarations of interest.

b. Dispensations:  To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.   No requests for dispensations had been received.

4. To agree a schedule of meeting for the forthcoming year.     It was resolved future meetings would be held the second Tuesday of the month, with the exception of December 2021, which is scheduled for Thursday 16th December 2021.

5. To discuss the refurbishment of the Play Parks, Prince’s Street and Shiregate.    It was resolved to obtain quotations for the refurbishment of both Prince’s Street and Shiregate Playparks.  The Clerk also to contact NKDC regarding the possibility of extending the area on Shiregate to site benches and further equipment.  Proposed by Councillor Parker, seconded by Councillor D Holmes and all were in favour.   

6. To discuss the survey results relevant to the Environment & Community Committee and prioritise a 6-month project list.   It was resolved the projects to be considered over the next 6 months in line with the Survey results would be:  Grass Cutting (already considered), Play Parks, Multi Surface Area, Traffic Management, Community Hub, Community Speed Watch, The Mill, Doctors Surgery, Waste Bins, Anti-Social Behaviour, Village Planters and Village Entrance Signage.   Proposed by Councillor Parker, seconded by Councillor I Holmes and all were in favour.

7. Date of next meeting.  Thursday 16th December 2021@ 18:30.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 20:30.
