You are summoned to a meeting of Metheringham Parish Council Environmental & Community Committee, which will be held in the Parish Council Office, High Street, Metheringham on Wednesday 13th April 2022 at 18:30. Prior to the official start of the meeting a public forum of not more than 15 minutes will be held if required.  The public may address the council between 18:15 and 18:30 on current matters, or issues which may become future agenda items and your attendance is also requested during this period.

1. Chairman’s remarks

2. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 S85(1). 

3. Members Declarations of Interests:

a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct. 

b. Dispensations:  To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.   

4. To approve as a correct record, the minutes of the meetings held on 10th March 2022.    

5. Prince’s Street Play Park:  To consider and resolve:

i) replacement items for the 2 wooden structures being removed.

ii) to receive an update on the relocation of the Zip Wire and Outdoor Fitness Equipment

6. Footpaths:  To consider and resolve:

i) to obtain quotations for the refurbishment of the footpath parallel with the school playground and access pathway to the junior playpark.

ii) to obtain quotations for a footpath to service the proposed adult fitness area and Muga 

7. Wall surrounding the Old Market Cross:  To consider and resolve to obtain quotations for repairs to the wall to include cleaning and preservation of the monument.

8. War Memorial and Garden:  To consider and resolve to pass the schedule of cleaning and garden maintenance to General Purposes & Finance Committee.

9. Litter Bins:  To consider and resolve to purchase:

i) additional litter bins to be sited; Prince’s Street Play Park area, Car Park and Caroline Road by the shops, adjacent to existing litter bins and to be in a sympathetic style. 

ii) replacement damaged litter bin Fen Road opposite the Fire Station

iii) to undertake remedial works otherwise to any other litter bins

10. Community Hub:  To consider and resolve to obtain quotations to install a sink unit, sink and undertake associated works. 

   

11. Building, High Street:  To consider and resolve that the Parish Council commit to reside in its current building for the next 5 years and:

i) Community Hub:  to obtain quotations for replacement blinds

ii) Community Hub:  to obtain quotations for replacement windows

iii) Parish Council Office:  to obtain quotations for replacement windows

iv) Parish Council Office:  to obtain quotations to extend the entrance foyer

v) to apportion the £10,000 Covid19 Grant awarded by NKDC in 2020 towards the works, and allocate the remainder from Parish Council Reserves.
