Minutes of meeting of Metheringham Parish Council Finance Committee, held in the Parish Council Office, High Street, Metheringham, LN4 3DZ on Tuesday 29th August 2023 at 6.30pm.

Meeting opened 1830hrs
1. Chair comments
The chair thanked the committee for attending.
2. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 S85(1)
Councillor Grummitt sent his apologies. Propsoed by Councillor Parry and seconded by Councillor Peek, all in favour.
3. Members Declarations of Interests:
a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct
None received.
b. Dispensations: To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct
None received.
4. To agree the approval of the minutes of the Finance committee held on 14th June 23.
Proposed by Councillor Peek, seconded by Councillor Parry and all in favour.
5. To review
i/ the budget to date.
Proposed by Councillor Parker to draw up expenditure against budget spreadsheet. Seconded by Councillor Westerman and all in favour.
ii/ bank reconciliations
Councillor Westerman was awaiting further reports from the bank to be able to proceed with the reconciliations.
6. To update on recent audit.
Councillor Westerman informed the committee that the audit had been completed – except for the asset register
7. To consider and resolve the completion of the Asset register.
i/ Actions required to complete the asset register.
Councillor Parry proposed for this to be dealt with in main council, seconded by Councillor Westerman and all in favour.
8. To update committee on quotes to repairs of public toilet block.
Councillor Westerman gave an update on progress – or lack of it. There had now been an acceptable quote for the work to start, once approved.
9. To update committee on Finance section of Parish website.
Councillor Westerman updated the committee on the website and the details for 22/23 now fully available on the website, including the AGAR and bank reconciliations.
