December 2019 Minutes EOM

An extra ordinary meeting of Metheringham, Sots Hole and Tanvats Parish Council was held on Friday 06th December 2019 in the Parish Office, Metheringham and commenced at 10:30.

There were no members of the public present.

1. Vice Chairman’s Remarks:

The Vice Chairman Councillor J Gwillym opened the meeting; welcomed Councillor Grummitt and made the usual housekeeping announcements.

2. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 s85(1):

Apologies were received from Councillors Parr, Parry, Peek, Temple and Wilson.

3. Members Declarations of Interests

a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.

b. Dispensations: To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.

There were no requests for Dispensations.

4. War Memorial Garden Hedging: To consider and resolve a specification of works following the arborist report. It was resolved to prune back to the main stem as required and trim to make the hedge manageable by the handyman.

Proposed by Councillor Kendrick, seconded by Councillor Byatt and all were in favour.

5. Library: To consider and resolve the quotation for submission to Lincolnshire County Council in respect of the Capital Grant. It was resolved to submit the quotation received from SDS Heritage & Property Services Ltd. Proposed by Councillor Byatt, seconded by Councillor Grummitt and all were in favour.

6. Former NHS/Library Building: To consider taking appropriate action to alleviate further damage to the building. It was resolved to obtain quotations for repairs to the roof and to clear the drains.
