Notice of an extra-ordinary meeting of Metheringham Parish Council will be held on Wednesday 19th April 2023 at the Parish Council Offices, High Street, Metheringham, LN4 3DZ at 6.30pm. A public session, lasting no more than 15 minutes, commences at 6.15pm. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend. Alternatively, questions or short statements can be submitted to the Clerk in advance of the meeting.

Agenda

1. Apologies for absence. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 s85(1)

2. Member’s declarations of interest
2a. To receive Declarations of Interest under the Localism Act 2011- being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
2b. To consider and grant dispensations to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Council’s Code of Conduct

3. To approve as a correct record the notes of the meeting held on Tuesday 28th March 23
     
4. Finances:
a. To receive a further update on the council finances
b. To approve the accounts for payment 
c. To approve budget for 2023-24 as recommended by the Locum Clerk (deferred from last meeting)
d. To resolve the reserve schedule for 23-24 and discuss any ringfenced funds
e. To approve the CIL report before submission to NKDC (deferred from last meeting)
f. To consider the formation of a Finance Committee and resolve its members if required

5. To review quotes received to repair leak in public toilet roof, if available

6. To review quotes received for repairs within the pavilion, if available

7. To review quotes received to repair wall around the cross outside the council office, if available

8. To consider expenditure towards new computer for the office and laptop if necessary

9. To resolve that in accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and by reason of the confidential nature of the remainder of the business, the press and public be excluded

10. To discuss information to be included in the statement to the police (deferred from last meeting)

11. To approve the Clerk’s contract and job description following the acceptance of job offer 

12. To complete and resolve the COT settlement form in regards to the ex-Clerk, as received by the solicitor
