May 2023 Agenda Annual Parish Council Meeting
You are invited to attend the Annual Parish Council Meeting of Metheringham Parish Council which will be held in the Parish Council Office, High Street, Metheringham on Wednesday 17th May at 18:15. Prior to the official start of the meeting a public forum of not more than 15 minutes will be held if required. The public may address the council between 18:00 and 18:15 on current matters, or issues which may become future agenda items and your attendance is also requested during this period.

AGENDA
1. To elect a Chair of the Council
Chair to sign declaration of acceptance of office once appointed
2. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 s85(1)
3. Members Declarations of Interests:
a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.
b. Dispensations: To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.
4. To approve the notes of the Parish Council meeting held on Wednesday 19th April 23 as a true and accurate record
5. To note some minor discrepancies with dates stated within minutes taken between August 22 and December 23 and resolve to make amendments to these where possible
6. To elect a Vice Chair of the Council
7. To appoint representatives to outside bodies: Members must be independent of the outside body they are appointed to, should consult with Council prior to attending meetings and report back to Council on a regular basis.

14. Financial matters:
a. Insurance:
i) To consider and approve the Council's Insurance renewal premium due on 1st June 2023 at a cost of £2,545.88. (an increase of £188.38 from the previous year)
ii) To consider and approve the Insurance renewal premium due on 1st June 2023 for the Metheringham Swimming Pool Management Committees Insurance at a cost of £843.81 (an increase of £2.72 from the previous year)
iii) To consider and approve the Insurance Renewal premium due on 1st June 2023 for Metheringham Village Hall Management Committees Insurance at a cost of £558.53. (an increase of £47.61 from the previous year)
iv) To consider and approve the Engineering Inspection Insurance for Metheringham Swimming Pool and Metheringham Village Hall at a cost of £500.20.
b. Accounts for Payment:
i) To consider and approve the bank reconciliation for end of April 23
ii) To consider and approve payments made between 1st April and 16th May
iii) To approve the accounts for payments to be made
c. Consider grant applications received from the following groups:

15. To agree dates and time for ordinary parish council meetings being held in 2023-24
16. To consider a request from a small trader to hire the pavilion to operate a tuckshop
