August 2021 Minutes EOM

A meeting of Metheringham, Sots Hole & Tanvats Parish Council was held on Monday 02nd August 2021 in the Parish Office, High Street, Metheringham.

No members of the public were in attendance.
 
1. To accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 s85(1).   Apologies had been received from Councillors Grummitt, Redpath and Rymer.  It was resolved to accept the apologies of Councillors, proposed by Councillor I Holmes, seconded by Councillor D Holmes and all were in favour.
2. Members Declarations of Interests:
a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.  No declarations of interest had been received.
b. Dispensations:  To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct.    No requests for dispensations had been received. 
3. To discuss and resolve that Metheringham Parish Council form a Committee for the purpose of organising and managing a Celebration Event for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee to be held June 2022.  Such Committee will be formed on the basis of Standing Order 4b supported by NALC LTN7 Point 11 which allows for such Committee to consist of both Council and Non Council Members.    It was resolved to form a Committee for the purpose of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.  Proposed by Councillor I Holmes, seconded by Councillor Parker and the majority were in favour.  Councillor D Holmes was against.
4. To consider and resolve to appoint Council members to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Committee.  It was resolved Council membership of the Committee would be Councillors Flintham, Manu, Parker, Peek and Zambas.  Proposed by Councillor I Holmes, seconded by Councillor Parker and all were in favour.
5. To consider and resolve to request that the General Purposes Committee draft the Terms of Reference for the Queens Platinum Jubilee Committee and refer back to full Council to consider to adopt at the earliest opportunity.  It was resolved the General Purposes Committee draft the Terms of Reference for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Committee.  Proposed By Councillor I Holmes, seconded by Councillor Zambas and all were  in favour.
