General Purposes Committee Meeting Minutes 04th November 2021
Minutes GPC05/2021 of the General Purposes Committee Meeting held on
Tuesday 04th November 2021 at 18:30.
Present: Councillors D Holmes, I Holmes, J Manu and K Parker.
Apologies: None received.
Officer: K Steels-Tallett (Parish Clerk)
No members of the public were present.
1. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 S85(1). No apologies had been received.
2. Members Declarations of Interests:
a. Members may make any declarations of interest at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct. There were no declarations of interest.
b. Dispensations: To consider and grant dispensation to relevant members in accordance with Metheringham Parish Councils Code of Conduct. There were no requests for dispensations.
3. To approve as a correct record, the minutes of the meeting held on 29th September 2021. The notes of the meeting 29th September 2021 having been circulated prior to the meeting were taken as read and it was resolved to approve them as minutes of the meeting. Proposed by Councillor Manu, seconded by Councillor D Holmes and all were in favour.
4. To agree a schedule of Policies and Procedures review. The schedule was discussed in detail and grouped into categories for review.
5. To review Standing Orders and agree the date of next meeting to finalise and make recommendation to full Council. The Standing Orders were reviewed in detail and suggested amendments made.
20:30 Councillor Parker proposed that in line with Standing Order 3x the meeting be extended beyond 2 hours, seconded by Councillor D Holmes and all were in favour.
It was agreed that the draft Standing Orders be retyped and finalised at the next meeting for presenting to full Council.
